One of the oldest Masonic Lodges on the south coast — a warm, lively community of members committed to friendship, charity and self-improvement.
Welcome
Welcome to Gosport Lodge — the home of Freemasonry in Gosport, and one of eight Lodges meeting at the Gosport Masonic Centre. We've met here since 1861, and we'd love you to come and meet us.
Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest social and charitable organisations, with around 175,000 members across England and Wales. Together, Freemasons donate over £50 million a year to charity — at Gosport Lodge, we put our share to work locally, across the Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight, and beyond.

How to joinWhat we stand for
Across the Craft, four values guide every Freemason: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Service. At Gosport Lodge, we live them out in four ways — fostering camaraderie, empowering each other, making a difference in our community, and building a Lodge that thrives.
The pulse of the Lodge — laughter, support, and the kind of friendship that lasts.
Helping each other become the best version of ourselves. The Mason's word is his bond.
Welcoming men of every faith, background and walk of life — meeting always as equals.
Charity is at the very heart of Freemasonry. Time, talent, money — given freely and locally.
Life at the Lodge
Behind the ceremony and the history is the part that really keeps us together — good food, good company, and a proper social calendar. Here's a glimpse of a typical year at Gosport Lodge.
Coming up
The highlight of our social year. Join us on Saturday 19 September 2026 at the Explosion Museum, Gosport, for a gala dinner, live band, dancing and a charity raffle — an evening of elegance where our ladies are the guests of honour. £45 per person; partners, friends and guests all warmly welcome.
Like most Lodges, Gosport Lodge takes a break in June, July and August. Our Masonic year begins in September with the Installation of the new Worshipful Master.
A warm welcome awaits
